If you're lookin' for carp, you're lookin' in the wrong area. However there are carp around, but few and far between.
In Lake of the Woods, there are many types of fish. Mainly Walleye, Northerns, Bass, Lake trout, Musky, and Crappie. If you go on Lake of the Woods, I suggest you hire a guide not just for the fishing, but to navigate you safely. There's a lot of rocks out there, and with 14000 islands and 64000 miles of shoreline, it's easy to get lost.
