i've tried it before
key is to be quick at it, and try to substain minimal damage to the fish, which can be very trickly if we're talking about anything with teeth
if it's anything other than bass i usually cut the line
especially if we're talking steelhead...gotta love the run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
