My name is Kay Holmes and I live in Dexter,MO. I am loking for info on my ancestors that supposedly came from KY. My grandfather and his father were both suppose to been born in McCracken county. My grgandfather John Franklin LEEK was born 10 December 1871 to Harrison LEEK and Melissa SHAW. John Franklin married Mittie/Middie POWERS-when I don't know-and my grandfather Amos LEEK was born 25 January 1896. He had an older sister named Mamie. I don't know just when they came to MO, but have found them in Stoddard county on the 1910 census. Please, any info anyone might have would be greatly appreciated, I can find nothing on Harrison and Melissa.
