I'm looking for information about the Long family that settled in Fayette County and migrated on to Shelby, Olham, Scott, and elsewhere. My gggg grandfather was William Long, who died in Fayette Co in 1818. I have a copy of his will from the UK library. He was in the Revolutionary War. His grave is on Coldstrem Farm. I wish I knew where. He married Agnes Culbertson. My ggg grandfather was Isaac Long, married Patsy Mallory in Fayette Co.,died in Shelby Co.in 1835. My gg grandfather is the one I am most interested as I have inherited a number of his stories and heirlooms. He was Robert M. C. Long, b. 1909, d 1990 in Oldham Co. He married Margaret Runyon. My G grandfather was John S. Long,b 1836 in Oldham Co. and died there in 1904. He married Nannie Mason from Shelby Co. His son, William Edward (Eddie) was my grandfather who married Annie Gertrude Ogelsby, both born and died in Oldham County.
