I am from Cynthiana, Ky. There is a Lair Station about 2 from me. There is also the burial place of Mathias Lair and his family, it is a vault and it was blasted out of the banks of the Licking river.He lived in a house called the cedars, at one time the most expensive house in Ky.I have pictures of the house. There is also a book in the Harrison co. public library all about the Lair family history.There are direct decendents that live here today. You might look up the Smiser (also a German family) history, the two families had several marriages between them. I hope this helps.Feel free to e-mail me bella@setel.com
