I've always packed up and left. The last thing I want to do is give my hooks and bait to gar. For some reason this year, they seem to be following me. Everywhere I go, I seem to catch them. My normal rule is two gar in one spot is too many gar. We caught gar Friday night ancored down in 65-70 foot of water and caught 2 or 3 of them 40+ feet down. The only rods we did not catch them on were the ones on the bottom or right off the bottom.
