but to the millions of fans; it would mean so much
more. AFRIKAN, who had been banned for the last 10
years because of his controversial comments about a
plot to commit genocide on Black people, was making
his return to the ring. Many fans were too young to
remember how he reigned supreme from 1988-1992, as did
his father, Soul Brotha from 1965-1972. In his
absence, THUG had completely dominated the sport,
easily knocking out top contenders like Charles the

Fightin Machine Taylor. They were just, too slow,
too old and just did not have the reach of THUG.

get enough of THUG as he was always asked to give his
opinion on everything from police brutality to global

found time to speak at worth while fundraisers to Save

fundraiser to raise money for an Afrikan centered
youth center, his management said he was too busy.

stood up and did the Harlem Shake while the entourage,
his DAWGS and scantily dressed women who referred to
themselves as THUG Mistresses, swaggered in with
Baby, Im a Thug," blaring from the arena speakers.
The crowd sang along word for word except the 144

first 6 rounds he was in rare form. The crowd went
wild as he shouted about how he would go back to the

platinum teeth and gold chains. In the corner, Ian
Whiteman frantically searched his laptop for more
lyrical punches. All of a sudden, AFRIKAN delivered a
barrage of punches pulling out quotes from Black
leaders and Freedom Fighters. There seemed to be no
end to his power as he hit THUG with words like
colonialism; miseducation and self hate. All of
which left THUG dazed and amazed. The crowd, which had
been cheering for THUG, began shouting AFRIKAN,
AFRIKAN, AFRIKAN ! Even the DAWGS and THUG Mistresses
joined in the chant. Ian Whiteman could be heard
yelling at someone in his cell that it was all over

DAWGS grabbed his lap top and broke it into a thousand
pieces.
