Thanks for the advice. That's what the Staley team guys tell me is to lift in the meet instead of watching. I figured I just have to get out there and do it. --Previous Message-- : Lift in the meet you'll learn more than : by watching. And you'll get your first : goofy errors (like I made) out of the : way. Just pick a weight you can handle : for 6 or seven reps to open. that way : if you screw up (Like I Did) You'll : know it was a brain lapse and not a : confidence wrecking strength power : issue. You'll get hooked. : : --Previous Message-- : Thanks for getting back to me. I train : at home as well in Albuquerque. It is : nice to know you guys are close. : Anytime you guys know of an event : please let me know. Thanks : : --Previous Message-- : Welcome Steve. : Hopefully we will having a meet soon : that lift in or at least watch. We have : a large group of powerlifters here in : Rio Rancho and train at a home gym. : : --Previous Message-- : Hi everyone my name is Steve. I am an : NSCA-CPT and I am currently training : for my first PL Event for this summer. : I got in touch with the District Chair : of NASA Lisa Wayland and she suggested : I contact Mike Adelmann through this : site. I am actually working with a : strength athlete that trains with : Charles Staley. He is helping me with : my program. I just wanted introduce : myself and get to know some of the : stength athletes here in New Mexico. : : : : : : :
