New Mexico State Meet Wow Posted by Mike and Teale on 4/29/2007, 1:52 pm 67.60.9.9 We had 50 lifters from 4 states and about 77 entries. Everyone seemed to have a great time. Started at 9:10am and the last deadlift was at a little before 5pm. So many people helped it was fantastic. Thanks to Bill Helmich, Chris Anderson, Elaine and Bill Waugh, Richard Kahle. Harry Heyman, Carlos and Lisa Siddell and of course my lovely wife Teale who benched 257 at 122lbs bwt. I am sorry if I forgot some names but your help was appreciated. Richard Kahle was awarded the 2006 New Mexico Athlete of year Plaque. Congratulations and well earned. Lots of records were broken and I will get Rich the results as soon as I can. My foot gets cut on Monday morning but I will do my best to get them out tomorrow. Teale and I again want to thank all the lifters that came out  Post a Response

A bunch of great performances for sure. Congratulations, Richard! Most of the NASA lifters are not so caught up in their own stuff that they can take the time to be friendly and be willing to strike up a conversation, throw out a tip or two when needed, generally very willing to help each other out.
