Hi, I also train alone, the only person that I need to impress is myself. I can keep my own pace, not having to wait on anyone, no plate changes but be sure and keep safty in mind. I bench out of a rack with saftys plus on my negs. my bench is equiped with an electric hoist so that I do not need to unload & reload plates. I have a building built just for my weight equipment with central heat & air. Not pushing anything but be sure and use a titan bench shirt so that you can keep injurys down. I once had a shoulder injury that kept me out for awhile but thanks to titan I can lift heavy again. Good luck to you.

: Hi everyone. So a little bit of
: background. I have been training since
: 2006 and I am 34 years old. I am and
: NSCA-CPT, but I really did not start PL
: until Last October 2008. I have been
: fortunate enough to meet and work with
: Charles Staley and some of his team
: members. I am currently hoping to
: compete by the end of summer 09 or
: early fall 09. I have to admit when I
: first started training and studying for
: my NSCA cert. I was more of an
: endurance trainer. Last October when I
: was at the Annual Staley Summit a light
: went off and I realized something.
: That training can be fun and why the
: hell am I not competing or have some
: type of goal in mind. That is how I
: discovered how great PL truly is. Just
: 7 months ago at 5'7' I was a scrawny
: 142 lbs. After I got to flip my first
: tire I knew it was time to get strong.
: Now, I am at 178 lbs. I have had much
: help and guidance from some of the Team
: Staley guys and they continue to help
: me. Lifting has become such an
: important part of my life that I am
: hoping to meet other serious and more
: experienced lifters and eventually
: train with them. I do have my own gym
: in my garage in Albuquerque, but it
: would be nice to be around some other
: lifters. It is hard for me to find
: friends that are serious to train with.
: Most commercial gyms are not very PL
: friendly and I am not interested in
: speaking with their sales rep
: "trainer". Anyway, I just
: wanted to introduce myself with a
: little more detail and hopefully get to
: know everyone here.
