Collar placement greatly effects the tightness of the shirt. We start with the collar high to touch light weight and keep pulling it down as the weight gets heavier
: No I do not wear a belt and do not pull my
: shirt down. The neck of the shirt is fairly
: tight at around nipple level.

: To your first question the answer is that
: everyone measures themselves differently.
: When we measure people at meets we come up
: with different measurements than they say
: they measure.
:
: How far do you pull the front of the 44
: down? Do you secure it with a belt?

: Hi guys!
:
: A couple of questions about Katana sizing
: please.
:
: QUESTION ONE
: Earlier this year I was wearing a 46 Katana.
: I have been wearing a 44 Katana A/S for the
: last few months. My chest measures about
: 43/43.5" relaxed and upper arm 15"
: relaxed and 16.25" flexed cold (and a
: bit bigger pumped of course).
:
: Both of these shirts were very tight around
: the arm during the initial workouts
: (crushing the bicep, but then loosened up
: after several workouts). In this regarded I
: am absolutely stunned and flabbergasted to
: read a post on this forum by Stephen on
: 08/14/07. Stephen says that his unflexed
: arm is 17/17.5" and his flexed arm is
: 18/18.5" and his relaxed chest is
: 48/48.5". He says that he can put on a
: size 46 Katana "with ease". How is
: this possible when I measure so much smaller
: than him (arm 2" smaller and chest
: 5" smaller) and only now after many
: workouts is my somewhat stretched out 46
: Katana able to be put on with ease? Am I
: missing something here?
:
: SECOND QUESTION
: I can touch with around 400 in my 44 Katana.
: I can do a full single with 435 and can do
: around 475 off one wood. Is it time for me
: to try and sequeeze into a smaller Katana.
: I wouldn't want the arm hole to be smaller
: surely (even given Stephen's post) but
: perhaps I could handle a tighter chest
: plate? Any thoughts? Is my 44 shirt
: powerful enough for me at present? Is there
: any way to work this out?
:
: Many thanks,
:
: Brian
