When I moved to New York I found a more viable option, one that encompassed my independent thinking and still does. That option was and is the Liberal Party. Call me a dyed-in-the-wool Liberal. I am and I'm damn proud of it. The Democrats in New York tried their best to destroy the Liberal Party here in NY. They came close but did not succeed. It's a good idea to hear from British Liberals and other Liberals worldwide. Let them know that this site exists and that we need their help to further the expansion of liberalism in New York and throughout the United States. We openly accept their help. It's time for us Liberals in New York to reach out to other Liberals worldwide and to speak out as to who in New York our real enemy is. Our real enemy is the machine that controls the Democratic Party in our state. They do not want to build fusion with other parties. They want nothing more than a one party state in which there is no opposition and with their subsidiary, the Working Families Party, they are well on their way. The Democratic Party with its subsidiary, under the control of their dictators, are anything but Liberal. If they win the statehouse in 2006, free thinking New York will be a thing of the past. I came from a state (PA) where you could only be registered either as a Democrat, Republican or an Independent.
