There is a middle ground here that must be looked at closely. We can have both Social Security and access to our money. But in order to do so, non-partisan heads must prevail. Times have changed and it's time to re-think Social Security but not as the sitting government presents it. Among other things, the sitting government's plan doesn't allow all who paid in to participate. The cutoff age is 55. That is discriminatory to "Baby Boomers" and those who are older. Social Security is one of the cornerstones of our society and any change to that cornerstone must be seriously considered. Social Security must not be eliminated as is the goal of the Bush Adminstration. Social Security as we know it must change with the times. There is a common ground on this issue that those in Washington, on either side of the isle, have not bothered to look at. In Washington, it's either Democrat or Republican, not American. Where are the Democrats on this one? Silent as usual. Rich Sedlisky

The President's numbers don't add up according to many who know more than I do.
