I need some help in answering these questions. Were a truly liberal party to exist,would it be successful in getting and keeping power in the United States with a winner-take-all system of elections?

Does the Green Party in the presidential elections of 2000 and 2004 illustrate the difficulty of launching a truly liberal third party?
