Hi Anthony, to place a political "label" on you, I think, would be difficult. I consider myself a libertarian/conservative. Maybe my beliefs can help determine if your leanings are left or right.
-Against the death penalty.
"leave it to the states to decide. I think they should be absolutely positive before carrying out." With "rights" come resposibility. We, as Americans, have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. When one takes the life of another they relinquish the right to chase happiness and liberty, the same, to me, applies to life.
-Lean pro-life when it comes to abortion; it depends on how far the woman is into the pregnancy and whether her physical health is at risk.
"I always wondered why someone that murders in the most evil way an innocent person (s)
should be spared, but the essence of inocence can be destroyed on the behalf of "choice", or whether life is viable at a certain time.
-For the legalization of marijuana.
"Leave the issue to the states."
-To an exent, for the legalization of the possesion of other drugs; depending on the amount possesed and if it is just for personal use.
"see above"
-A Catholic-Christian, but I still think all major religions are valid; just different views on what God/The Higher Power is.
You should have the liberty to worship as you choose as long as it does not interfer with the rights of others.
-Think homosexuals should be allowed to legally "marry" because it is none of my business what they do.
"States rights once again" but don't force other states to accept it.
-Don't think that homosexual "married" couples should be allowed to adopt because I don't think it is right to bring kids into that and think you still have to protect tradition in some areas (especially when it comes to children).
"see above"
-Do think that homosexuals who want to be single parents should be allowed to adopt.
"Once again, a states issue."
Please help me out. Thanks. LATER!
Anthony, I believe, that the founders of this nation were really onto something.
I believe that any issue not specifically addressed in our constitution should be left to the states. This way, individuals, have fifty options. Fifty experiments that take place where as each individual state can pick and choose the best way to live.
I think it's really just just as simple as that. That's real freedom to me.
If you force people, through federal mandate how they should live, whether it be a conservative or Liberal issue, you are a tyrant.
