Many rank-and-file Democrats like her, as do New York voters, but this might not be the case nationally since her approval ratings were often BELOW her husband's during much of his presidency. Liberals would be better off with Al Gore, the de facto leader of the new left. He also won the plurality of the popular vote in 2000, so he has proven he can get the votes.

Hillary comes with a lot of baggage and gives the perception of being utterly disingenuous. She is, presumably, in the presidential race entirely for herself, which would be okay (most people advance their careers for themselves) if it didn't come across as completely desperate. She was born and raised in Chicago, spent much of her adult life in Arkansas where her husband was governor, and this propelled her down the obvious path as a U.S. Senator from New York. Am I missing something here? I can't believe that New Yorkers don't see this.
