The final defeat of Mayor Bloomberg's Olympics bid is a great day for the people of NYC. Now perhaps the mayor can be forced to confront the myriad issues affecting the city he presumes to lead, such as homelessness, environmental degredation, and a school system that teaches its children how to pass tests, but little else.
