11/14/05 Looking for relatives of John W. Harrington as they are also my relatives; hopeful someone will respond:
J>W>HARRINGTON 85 DIES 1959 - Rockford IL, he diedin the Billings Hospital in Chicago,IL. He was born March 20,1874 in Newport KY. son of Mr Mrs J.W.HARRINGTON, he lived 45 yrs in Rockford moving there from Red Granite WI he was married to Emmaline LARSON in Chicago in 1913 she died July 1958. He was a partner in The Harrington Brothers Machine and Tool Co. which was formed in WW 2 to produce war materials; the Co was in business for 15 Yrs before it disolved. J W Harrington's father was a Capt in the 5th calvary during the Civil War. J W Harrington was a member of the Church of the Christian Union; Unitarian studied at and was a member of Chicago Art Institute. Survivors include: three sons Russell and Richard both of Horton KS ( NOTE: A 2ND OBIT SHOWS THESE 2 BROTHERS LIVE IN PASADENA TX ?) Another son John Jr. of Golden,CO. two daughters Mrs. Mildred L KENNEY; Rockford and Mrs Gertrude (trudy) VINCENT; Los Angles, two nephews Jack RAWSON, Beloit, WI and Roy of Detroit (MI?) 11 grandchildren and two neices; Mrs Ruth CARTER, River Forest whose husband is president of Fuller Brush Co. and Mrs. Adelaide FOSTER, Syracuse, NY.
