Posted by Ray Jackson on 2/28/2005, 2:45 pm Isaiah Jackson, born about 1794 in South Carolina. Died 29 Mar 1859 in Dallas County, Missouri. His spouse was named "America." She was born abt. 1800 in North Carolina. She, too, passed away in Dallas County, Missouri, on 06 Aug 1874. Their children are a s follows:
207.70.191.118
Here is what I have:
Sarah Jackson (1814-aft. 1900), Kentucky. Spouse: Elijah M. Morris (1831-?), Kentucky.
Cynthia C. Jackson (27 Jul 1830-Aug 1902), Kentucky. Spouse: Isaac W. Cranfill (03 Aug 1823-15 Feb 1899).
Parmena W. Jackson (1832-?), Kentucky. Spouse: William D. Wright (1832-?), Arkansas.
John B.E. Jackson (1835-13 Oct 1863), Kentucky (my gggrandfather). Spouse: Elizabeth Angeline Robison (Jan 1836-abt. Feb. 1926)
Christopher W.B. Jackson (Jun 1837-Aft. 1910), Kentucky. Spouse: Harriet E. Birdwell, (Jul 1837-?), Tennessee.
Nancy Ann Melissa Jackson (05 Dec 1842-23 Feb 1880), Kentucky. Spouse: Thomas Edward Mustain, II (08 May 1844-31 Aug 1931), Pittsylvania, Virginia.
Isaiah is found on the following Kentucky census':
Kentucky, Calloway, No TWP, Series M704, Roll 106, Page 61a, Line: 10 (between a Miles Kelly and Tho. A. Franklin)
Kentucky, Calloway, 1st District, Series 432, Roll 194, Page 477b, Line 3 (between Orr and W.D. Wright, his son -in-law).
I have copies of the census if anyone is interested.
That is pretty much all I have from Kentucky files. Sometime between 1857 and 1859 the family moved to Dallas County, Missouri. Cynthia had two children born in Kentucky (1853 and Jan 1857), so I believe they made the trek shortly afterwards. Records are scared in Missouri as well (the courthouse burned down as well).
That's pretty much it. I am looking for any information that might be on record. This has been a tough nut to crack. Any help is greatly appreciated, even if I have had it before. It just confirms what I already knew.
Thanks to all.
Ray
