I am looking for family of Crawford A. Cunningham, b 1851-52 in Graves Co. Ky. He married Sarah Williams b 1851-1852 in Graves Co. Ky. They also married in Graves Co. abt 1869 = my grandmother Eliza Odis Cunningham Hynds Henderson was b feb 15, 1888 in Water Valley, Graves Co. KY. I have no record of her birth, or any family of Crawford her father. My Grandmother Eliza Cunningham, and her sister Amanda May, married Hynds brothers of Martin TN. My grandmother married Benjamin Matt Hynds, and Amanda married Charles Hynds. I am not really sure of my grandmother's given name, as I have no source - she is listed as a widow in the 1920 TN census with the name Odis Hynds. So I don't know if she dropped the name Eliza or if it ever was her given name. My information is oral history from siblings. Having no parents for Crawford A. Cunningham has created a block = it is listed in the 1880 census that his father was born in Alabama - but with no name - I have checked the Alabama census - with no luck for a Crawford as a child, in either the Alabama census or Kentucky. Crawford lists his birth as Kentucky. Any help will be so appreciated. I thank you in advance - Grandmother was the sweetest southern lady with the ability to cook and sew for her large extended family. She was the best fried chicken maker, and made every grandchild a quilt for their crib - She is dearly missed, and we all, (all my 6 siblings and myself) wonder why we never asked the simplest questions when she would read to us and sing songs for our enjoyment.
