I have census information and marriage certificate for John S. or L. Clayton marrying Martha Boyd in Illinois. Witness for John was Jesse Clayton. 1850 census in Missouri indicates John born in Kentucky; possibly 1827 or 1829.
Any help following the line for John Clayton is appreciated. Census also indicated John's father was born in Kentucky.
