IN 1799, Madison co. ky..one Joseph Baker, most likely a son of Thomas Baker, son of Humphrey Baker (1713 England - 17__)..was on a marriage bond to Polly SWOPE/SOAP with William CAPERTON as a surety..Joseph B. was supposed to have died before 1814..believe his possible children a. Samuel and William migrated to Franklin Co TN..Wm Baker (1805-10 - 1881) md 1/ Diannah ___? last name uk several children, md 2/Feriby HOWARD 1857 in Franklin co tn..they are my ancestors..I need help on Joseph/Polly ..proof of children, where did he die/buried..what happened to Polly (Swope) Baker and children?? any info will be appreciated.
Some of this same Baker family appeared in Estill co KY..(Estill co ky was taken off of Madison).
