With eyes dimmed by time, and gait a bit slow,
Their love for us all, however, doth grow.
A gentle pat, a scratch on the head,
Reminds them of years, in a warm, cozy bed.
Their playful barks may be softer now,
But the wag of their tail, shows their loyal vow.
They may sleep through the day, in a sun golden square,
Contentment they find, with a loving stare.
So cherish their naps, and walks by your side,
For these old gentle souls, in you do confide.
For love is ageless, it knows no decay,
These old dogs adore you, each and every day.
