Starting up (in Hawaii)

Hi, I wanted to find out what sort of grass is typically used here in Hawaii. I have no clue when it comes to this stuff. My girl friend yard has some grass that looks like the stuff used on golf courses,so I thought I'd try and find a site like this one. I basically want to find out what kind of fertilizer (the numbers for them I guess. ie: 28-3-4...) to use to help maintain the grass she already has. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Craig H.
