I live near Covington, north of New Orleans and recently built a 1500 s.f. tiff dwarf bermuda green. This is a grass that is the standard for this area. I started it with sprigs I got from a grass farm in Mississippi. The main things critical for a sucessful green down here is good drainage, weed free soil/sand mix, and at least 6 hours direct sunlight.
