We used it around cabbage plants to keep the ground hogs and rabbits away. I dont know if it will hurt your turf but it didnt hurt vegetable plants. --Previous Message--

Depending on where you live it may be legal to use a pellet gun, or a good BB gun that accepts pellets. If you live in the country, a 22 with CB or BB caps also works for further distances. Just make sure it is legal in your area and you follow gun safety rules.
