
Posted by Ronald The answer depends a lot on the playablitiy of the fairway itself and the grass type. Generally the "pro-courses" cut the fairway at 1/2" and the primary rough at 1 1/2" when using bent grass. However at that height, the grass might not like it if it is not suited to be mowed that high. When I worked on a golf course in Southern Ohio, we cut the fairways right around an inch. Since this was rye grass and the sumers do get hot, the little extra height helps. Hope this helps
