I doubt the problem is your growing medium. It's more likely the surface is not being kept moist enough or your seed is bad. Post more info about where you got your seed, how old is it, what kind is it, how has it been stored, where are you located, what has the weather been like, what has been your irrigation practice, did you use astarter ferilizer, if so - what kind & how much, how long have you been waiting to see grow-in, how much sun do you get, etc. Need to rule out all these factors before the growing medium is targeted as the problem.
