Try using a probe to test the moisture at different levels and irrigate when needed t the depth of the roots not when the clock shows. If you feel the turf is thinning I would suggest removing all stress factors, raise height, mow every other days at most. If possible lightly spike to encourage air/moisture exchange and treat it with kid gloves. Do not topdress, core aerify or fertilize. Always available for a chat if you need any futher thoughts. While it gets full sun how is the air movement or circulation over the surface of the green, without consistent air movement you are most likely irrigating to frequently. No green requires two seperate irrigation cycles a day unless you are establishing it. Some areas of a green with an exceptionally high ET may require syringing although even that is to reduce canopy temperature rather than add moisture.
