Delaware APA weight pull- King of the Rails 3 Posted by Lester Saturday 5/3/08: Toni pulled 2200 lbs in 18.08 sec. Her percent was 51 x bodyweight, putting her in 4th place (among 8 dogs). Sunday 5/4/08: She ended at 1845 lbs. (I don't remember the time pulled) She got the cart going at the next weight increment (at about 2200 lbs again) but she was having too much of a hard time with it, so I had the cart handler push the cart to help her get it, and she was done for the day. Most important thing is that she finished the show with a good finish and positive experience and leave room for more improvement the next time around. Sunday, she also placed 4th among 6 dogs. I'm pretty confident that I'm competing with her in the toughest weight class in the APA eastern division... the dogs who I am competing against are consistently the Most Weight Pulled (MWP) and Most Weight Pulled per Pound (MWPP) winners at the national level .. Seeing how competitive the APA pullers are, me and Toni definitely have our work cut out for us LOL.... but she's still an awesome bulldogge and we'll be getting her in her best form for when she hits her peak in another year to a year and a half. Junior Diaz was out there with me to show his support on Saturday and took A LOT of pictures. I'll share them whenever he gets around to sending them to me. Here are a couple of shots from my camera of Toni, as well Eli and Maurice of ECTK who pulled in the 61-70 lb class, and pulled around 3100 lbs on Sunday. Maurice is the man in this breed as far as training a working dog, as far as I'm concerned. thanks again for your support! Toni pulling in the 41-50 lb class.
