The LBA has the occasional dog coming in from other registries who are 100% but whose parents weren’t x-rayed. Outcross papers really aren’t appropriate for these dogs and so we are have instituted Transitional Registration. The dog coming in is TR1 and their progeny are TR2. Progeny of TR2 are given full registration. The intent is to allow the line to demonstrate it is free of hip and elbow problems. TR papered dogs may be bred to 100% dogs or OC dogs. Only dogs of exceptional quality will be considered for Transitional Registration.
