So what? We need to import dogs and use the outcross programm, and why not (Mr Leavitt?) open the registry to LB "looking like" dogs.
For exemple, the show that took place in Holland, if we can make it each year, as Mr Leavitt is in Europe, we could take a week end, or one day to make a "breeding selection day" or conformation and temperament test.
There are dogs that are not related to the original breeding stock, but that show all the quality required in the standard.
That means that the LBA has to open the registry (but under several conditions) for some years (5 or 10) and then, when there are enough unrelated lines, the LBA can close it again.
That's a common way to rarebreeds and I think that's an option we have to look out.
