My wife noticed a few weeks ago (right before my female came into heat) that Jazzmine was humping Bigsby. I was not familiar with this so I googled and found out this could be her expressing dominance. I only saw her do it once and I distracted her to make her stop.
She is now in heat, so they stay separated until I have time to play with them in the back yard. I do let them play together (under close/direct supervision). Last night she was humping that boy constantly! It started to piss Bigsby off, then he actually would let her hump him a little and then move to make her stop.
For those of you that have see this how do you react? Do you step in and prevent the dog from humping? If Bigsby was being aggressive to show dominance I would stop him, so should I stop her? Or is this more of a ?sexual? thing now that she is in heat?
