This is a reminder to get your dog's hip x-rays taken and approved, before breeding. Although failing hips are very rare in this Breed, we must do everything possible to prevent them. i have received that horrible call from a heart broken dog owner with a lame dog, twice in my life and will do everything in my power to keep unsound dogs from being created. The causes of hip displasia can be varied, with genetic and environmental components, but one thing all authorities agree on is that it is a dangerous mistake to breed a dog that has bad hips.
You can have your evaluation done by OFA (minimum age 24 mo.), Pennhip (4 mo.), BVA (12 mo.) FCI (12 mo.), or send them to me (18 mo.).
All others applying for papers will come in under our outcross program and go through a 4 generation screening process.
