My grandfather said he was from Louisville Kentucky. He left Kentucky in the early 1900s possibly working with a circus or a carnival. He might have had a sister. It is possible that he was in an orphanage at one time.
As far as I know he did not have any contact with his family in Kentucky. He appeared to be mulatto. The name I knew by was Frank Kenneth Jenkins. I think he was Born in January about 1885.
