Ok, this is family lore from my grandmother Ella Fairchild Adkins Myers. The family was living in Middletown Ohio. Husband Lenville Adkins was murdered near a river. she always said she knew who did it. They, like my family, were from morgan co., Ky. My Dad, the oldest, age 9, remembers being told that he drowned trying to save a dog in the river. He also said that the clothes were neatly folded by a tree! Lenville had been hit in the head and thrown in to the river. His paycheck stolen. Several of the grandchildren have always been curious about any moe information about his death. when Ella died there was no documents about this. Lenville is buried in morgan co.,Ella also said that she hired a detective to prove "who" killed him, The investigator and the $ disappeared. My Uncle also Lenville , was born that November. Any one know anything?????
