..The mystery is one that was told in my family...My gg-grandfather Samuel Brown son of Jasper Marion Brown told this to my grandmother...Supposedly his father and 2 sons/or friends left kentucky or Tennessee to go to Texas..They were to settle there and then come back for the family.They traveled along the river and either disappeared or were murdered....This may not be the Brown family, but another allied line..Maybe Pitts?...Or, could be another generation..If any of this sounds familiar at all, please contact me..thanks
