Hello! My great-grandfather was Ed W. Pelfrey. He was born in Johnson Co, KY in 1881. Deeds show he was still in the area in 1902 and was married to Rissa. His older brother shot Frank Williams and went north. Ed Pelfrey left KY in 1903 or 04 and changed his name to Frank A. Brown (family name). We've always wondered if he got in trouble with the law, forcing him to leave his wife and daughter and change his name. He moved to IN and then Ohio. Rumor has it he was looking for his older brother Frank. Any info would be great!
