Grand Father Murdered

The story goes that Lewis Thompson (b.1852) left Brown Co. IN in 1889 to go to KY. to buy horses. He met a woman and lived with her for a short time, he told her that he was going back to IN to his family. She baked him a going away cake with posion in it and killed him.I do not know where in KY he was or where he is buried. I have searched for years for info on him. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? Thanks.
