Two years ago we were fortunate enough to buy a house near Dallas, and at the end of the alley is a pasture and barn, were several horses are spending their retirement, and Khemo Grande is among them. This summer I began sharing the feeding "duties," and got to know this magnificent animal. At 24 he has maintained his beauty and Arabian spirit. Following a bath a few weeks ago, he galloped around, like a young colt, tail and mane flying; a magnificent sight. I feel so privileged to be part of his life.
: In the spring of 1999 my parents bought
: me a newly retired arabian horse named
: Khemo Grande. He was the most
: beautiful horse then and still is
: today. His grandfather is Khemosabi
: and we knew that this blood line was a
: very good arabian blood line to have.
: Since Khemo Grande was just retired
: from many years of winning, he was a
: wonderful ride for pleasure. When the
: millenium Arabain magazine came out,
: that was the first time that I saw
: what Khemosabi looked like. Well, his
: grandson, my horse, Khemo Grande was a
: spitt'n imagine of him. I no longer
: ride Khemo Grande due to stiff back
: legs but I go daily and love him. xo
