Posted by Jennifer We are loving this mare. I bought her also for my niece to ride, as she needed a horse just to ride and gain confidence on. She's eleven and has been taking lessons for about a year, and has hit that point where she knows how to ride, but riding my 5 year HA gelding, trying to keep the horse together and herself together, just was too much. She can ride Angel and not have to worry about keeping her pulled together. Angel was shown western pleasure as a younger horse, but often got sore in the back end from having to stay so collected (we're planning to breed to shorter backed horses to correct for this). Anyways, Angel does whatever Makayla asks, and she's really gaining confidence on this mare. At her age, she still snorts, blows, and prances down the aisles, but the minute you put a foot in the stirrup she's a placid old mare. For me, that's makes her priceless. --Previous Message--

Hi Margie,
Your gelding sound great. What are there lines on the Dam side? I am trying to decide what to cross to and have been reserching what has turned out well. I would love to get a standing quality stallion one year. Right now I'm looking at Link to Fame, I would also love to breed to Pistal LD or Valentino, both just won National Titles in Stallion halter, but may be out of my price range. I have a breeding to a Cremello APHA that I may use with her, he's 16.2 and color is guaranteed, so that may be a really nice baby. If you have any ideas, please pass on, I'm always game for ideas.

: Hi,
: What a beautiful girl she is.
: Three years ago we happened to find a
: Khemosabi son! (Rhocke n Roll)
:
: He is now 16 years old. Looks are
: more like mom (and Fadjur) but he is
: wonderful, although small, maybe 14.3
: if we stretch him.
:
: Also have a Khemosabi great
: grandson,(16 hands) who
: has the stamp of Khemo all over him,
: esp.
: a profile in motion, If you ever saw
: the
: Nutrena poster featuring Khemosabi in
: flight, that carried through two
: generations to our Kheali. And he is
: already eight years old.
:
: Just wanted to share, I just found
: this site on the web! I did get to
: see Khemosabi twice, first time when
: he was 32
: and again age 33, even have a picture
: of me astride him for a minute or so,
: (Laura
: Cronk's suggestion and that was a
: thrill!)
: I am so very glad we took the time to
: see
: him when in CA on business. I live in
: WI
:
: Anyone else reading this that might be
: near
: me, and have Khemosabi horses?
:
: Best wishes on those future babies,
: Khemo
: lives on in all of them.

: Hi,
: I just purchased a 17 year old
: Khemosabi daughter, out of a Bey
: Shah/Tristen daughter. She's in great
: condition, looks just like Khemosabi,
: thought about 15.2. She's had only 3
: babies, and has been with her prior
: owner for 14 years, so she's been well
: cared for. I'm excited to get a few
: babies from her over the next few
: years. Just wanted to share.
