There is a new Mr Plow coming through the ranks I think parents have to remind there kids that karting is a non contact sport and rear bar on the kart in front of you is not to slow you down I seen on the weekend at Barossa the same kid ram 3 kids in 3 races and it's becoming a recurring thing. If you want to play Mario karts stay home. I don't want my kids neck Broke by some out of control driver. Besides that great meeting well done Barossa and well done young Ellis after a nastie roll over straight back in the kart . Little champion

I agree, I love seeing hard racing and wheel to wheel racing but drilling someone in the rear bar is not on! We need to encourage our kids to take their driving to the next level

What saddened me about the incident that we witnessed/involved in was the father giving the driver a high five for gaining a place after causing all the chaos 😐 personally I think driver/parent education classes may be in order on a yearly basis ?

well ive been told there cracking down on bad driving next year. I'm putting a 360 camera on the kart and ill be protesting something ive never done before. and even the kids stress when hes starting behind them coz it happens all the time. Not good enough race hard a bit of rubbing is no prob and sometimes there is crashes all good but not out of control ramming

We weren't there to see the incidents which triggered this thread, so I don't know who was involved. However I can say that this type of grooming of young drivers by parents is becoming more common across the whole country. Children are being taught that they have an entitlement to gain a place if they are faster than the kart in front. No mention of having to earn the place with clever racecraft... more likely "if they wont get out of the way, push them out", or "rubbing is racing", or "second place is just the first loser"... Drivers who cleverly use racecraft to avoid being overtaken are derided as "blockers", intimidated and seen as fair game to be rammed, simply because they made the most of their track position. These and other negative messages have a cumulative effect on all young drivers. In my humble opinion, the offending parents are usually a lost cause and will never change their ways... You're potentially dealing with the "Trump" mentality.. Win at all costs, no matter how ugly it gets. Then gloat and celebrate as if it's something to be proud of. No amount of education will convert a psychopathic narcissist. They need to be eliminated from the field (and that may apply to some senior drivers too)...
