Hi Everyone - I hope all is well with each and everyone of you still here. Things have been so hectic for me - last night, my beautiful Mystic of 14 years passed away in my arms as I frantically drove 45 minutes to the closest Emergency Animal Doctor. He passed just as I was turning into the parking lot - a few more minutes, had I just drove faster, had I left a few minutes earlier??? Mystic will always be in my heart - for those of you still around, Mystic is Peanuts son, who passed from a nasty cancer last year. I'm re-newing this board to let you all know that we all were brought to this board for the same reasons - we stuck around for the same reasons, and we still sneak a peak and linger here for the same reasons. We all care. I promised Mystic while we were heading out there last night, that after I get my license (still studying for VT) that I would do my damn-est to establish a place in our hometown for emergencies, so people don't have to drive so far - even house-calls. Both emergency places in this area were both over 45 minutes away!!! I am crushed, saddened - numb by losing him, and now even more determined to finish my courses that much sooner. No more 'taking my time' - to all of you, I'm renewing to make sure we always have a place to keep in touch with one another - to vent about anything, and to always remember what brought us here in the first place. I promise I will keep you all posted of my progress. To all of you still here. Hold onto the faith that tomorrow will be brighter for us all. As for you Mystic, my beautiful boy - 14 years you have been my companion, my best friend - my confidant. I will miss sharing the pillow with you and Louie, I will miss the gracefulness of you around my feet and home. I will even miss you biting my nose first thing in the morning when I'm still half asleep. Rest my angel - Your Momma and Diamond and all fur-babies that are mine are there. Know I will always love you - know that one day we will all be together again one day soon - just as I promised Peanut that I would bring the catnip, for you I will bring the cat treats you love so much. God speed my friend - sore high until we meet again one day...
