72.153.144.240I emailed Sherri the link to this board today and several pictures of Patches, including Charlie's that he took of her at the Superdome. I also let her know what shelters I faxed so far. Amy emailed me today a few lines and and thinks Nikki is back in jail (as I emailed her and said 'maybe it was Nikki who left that message') Also she said Michael (who rec'd this mysterious vm) emailed her and nothing is new. Hasn't heard a word. After all this time, for someone to surface and leave such a voice mail w/o a phone number...I just think it bogus. What's wrong with people? It just makes me mental to think someone would call someone who possibly interviewed them (maybe some girl who was spurned by Michael???) and not leave a phone number. Can people be that stupid? And if it is a bogus call, I hope they trip and break their foot. I'm up to here with cruelty. - I'm sorry, Barbara, if this is/was a prank. It's so hard to think someone..

I've looked at the 'old' shelters I have (many, many) from Katrina and Pet Finder. So many unwanted animals. So sad.

80.3.64.8this is different and can't see the logic for a prank. I know that idiots don't need logic (even no logic is a bonus??) but I can't see the motivation at all - especially with a story that is now so old. If it were months ago then I do feel it likely it is a prank but this far on with life it really is old news and doesn't achieve anything. Do we know how long Nikki has gone down for? Is there any possibility that she HAD found Patches and juts didn't tell anyone because she didn't like/want the fuss or the hassles or the possible thought that we would somehow try to steal Patches? And that she can't keep her now because she's gone 'inside?? Just thinking aloud really...

Lots of things go through my mind, but I agree completely with Mandy ~ it's been too long for this to come about now as a hoax... Nothing to gain on their end... Unless this is there way of gaining information? I don't see the logic there... Barbara you are a much kinder person than me, should this be a hoax & only wish that the foot is broken... I'd be wishing for a complete body cast!!! Regardless ~ Patches is still very missed & loved and obviously very WANTED! I also looked on petfinder, the numbers of lost, and found that are unclaimed... Just saddens me to see that! Prayers & Purrs to you all... - But Michael's writing a book and his interviews...

12.8.14.157were conducted more recently, thus a new seed planted. Also, I'm unclear why they would call Michael..as in retrospect I never followed up with him on the Patches' story (posts down below). So whether he's writing one or not is a mystery to me...now I'm really befuddled. I'll have to email Amy as to why they contacted HIM about Patches. Will advise.

12.8.14.157she had done a phone interview with Michael about Nikki and Patches. She thinks he lives in N.O. now.
