65.10.220.198She called me (formerly from N.O., lost everything to Katrina and had to re-lo to TX) but she and Karen helped with Patches' spay/surgery and Karen told her to call me. She asked that I send some pix of Patches so she can start emailing/faxing shelters that I haven't faxed. The name rings a big bell, but I just can't remember why.. She doesn't think this is a hoax mainly: "why would anyone do this?" "What's to gain"? I can't answer that. I'll be back in touch with her on Mon. and will email her pictures. 65.10.220.198from Karen, the shelters I faxed/called, Amy nor Michael who I emailed on Thurs. or was it Wed.? Anyway, I can't help thinking the whole thing was a hoax. Knowing now that he interviewed many people in N.O., it could have been anyone - even Nikki...and it brings to mind the time we offered a $500 reward and had some posters put up in the French Q. The hoax cockroaches came out of the woodwork then. Just didn't want to leave you hanging. Karen has my cell and I told her to call me if she hears anything more. I'll f/u with the shelters again on Mon. too. - Thank you for the update

thanks a lot for your help. the guy whos witting the book mike called me and told me about the michelle person leaving her message. he said he has been living in new orleans and interviewed many people about patches. maybe it is a hoax. how sick is that? i hope we find her and that you or karen can take her. that would be great. ill keep you posted. and you me if ya find her. i know nikki could never take her again. its just very sad. amy

Karen said she knew Mike or knew of Mike (who Michelle called) and thinks maybe he had his number attached to a Patches picture on the web somewhere. Which is highly believable as I just yesterday called a number to Patches pic with MY area code wonder who...it was PatM. - I hope it's not a hoax...msg

Long story but the person who rec'd the voice mail from this Michelle, Mike, well Karen knows him or of him and thinks Michelle must have gotten his number from a website with Patches picture. She tried calling the number she had on Mike and there's no service. She is aware and has called 3 shelters too (same ones I call and these shelter people are not on the ball or the ones that answer the phone anyway). They keep telling me to come in and look.. 38.115.184.66Mike called Amy, correct? If Amy has a cell phone, there should be a record of the call from Mike and his phone number should be on there. And Mike could have this other woman's (the one who says she has patches) phone number on his phone record. I know if I go on line to T-Mobile (my cell carrier) I can look at the list of all incoming calls and see the phone numbers. That's the only thing I can think of at this point other than keeping an eye out for her at the shelters--which I will do. - I called 3 N.O. shelters and faxed 2 her picture
