Posted by Mandy 49618. Tom McPhee needs help Dear Friends, I am writing this note to ask you for your assistance. I am in an akward position and need to share some personal information with you and ask you for a favor. As you may or may not know I am the producer and director of the Katrina animal rescue documentary, An American Opera. I have invested 2 years of my life and over $200,000 of MY OWN money and peril to try to make sense of what I witnessed in the gulf post Katrina. I have over extended myself and find my house in foreclosure and having to hide my car from the REPO man. You can see images of my home / studio at"www.cavestudio.net. I am not asking for money or charity of any kind. I am asking you to write a letter on my behalf (only if you belive I should receive support) to a Judge in Oakland County, MI that will help me get back on track. I am a beneficiary of a family trust that has provisions to assist any of the beneficiaries (me and my siblings) when they need it. However, my fathers second wife, Suzanne (one of 2 Trustees) has to approve any disbursements. On July 12, 2007 I approached the other trustee, Doug Lashbrook to release funds based on my current situation I was told that was something that could be done. However, the following day Suzanne vetoed any disbursements and insisted I get mental help because I must need help if I would spend my time and my own money on such a waste of time and money. If I lose my home I will have lost another chunk of money - go figure. At this point I petitioned the probate court of Oakland county to get a hearing and possibly grant me a disbursement so I amy get my life back on track. A court date was set, 8-22-07 and papers were prepared to go in front of the judge. Which I did. The Judge then ordered an evidentiary hearing whereby the trustees would collect data to determine a disbursement. This process has been overwhelming! It appears as though all of the information collected will be used to make a case against me rather than make a disbursement to assist me. I have invested an enormous amount of myself in this process - have been very cost conscious and I have numerous offers to acquire AAO. But the film is not finished. Although to date AAO has been selected to appear in more that 25 festivals around the world and won 5 awards for feature documentary including 3 first place - I have been using the festival circuit to flesh out the final cut of the film. And thusly I am not going to "SHORT SELL" it! - More on this if you inquire of m. The letter I am asking you to write on my behalf is one of support - that you think my efforts have been sane, responsible and you believe the Trustees are being unreasonable in not releasing funds to help my situation. Please address the letter to the judge and send the letter to me through email or snail mail so I may include it in a packet of documents that I must have together by the 19th of October. Here is how to address the letter: (but send it to me by email or snail mail it to my home by October 18, 2007, at: 1865 E Hammond Lake Ct., Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302) State of MichiganProbate CourtOakland CountyCircuit Court - Family Division1200 N Telegraph RD.Pontiac, MI 48341 In the matter of Thomas E. McPhee Jr. Case Number 2007-311,880-TV Dear Honorable Judge Eugene Arthur Moore, And the body of your letter here. Sincerely, Your Name I honestly do not know if this will help - but I really need the Trustees to know that what I have been working on was not frivolous. I truly appreciate any consideration and I am more than happy to provide all the details on my situation to anyone that is needing more info before they do this on my behalf. Thank you for caring.
