I was born in Ohio so I was for my early, immature days....an Ohio State Fan. When we moved to Michigan in the 70's and lived here I began to understand why everyone loved Michigan and the University of Michigan so much.
Then Jennifer went to U of M, got an outstanding education and met Jim to top it off...well, I was sold. University of Michigan is an amazing place.
I understand about Notre Dame. For me, the sports announcers are so "Pro" Notre Dame because of their long tradition that it is irritating when Michigan and Notre Dame play.
Michigan has a long tradition of having winning football teams and it seems the announcers that are not local are always looking for reasons to root for Michigan's opponents!!
