The memories of when they were little are so clear like it was only yesterday.
Rachel had a nice birthday. We are really close, she tells me everything. I always wanted her to be very comfortable to do that so I tried not to react too harshly when she shared the bad stuff. It is funny to me, her boyfriend doesn't always like when she tells me everything. Especially if they are fighting. I think he believes I will hold a grudge. It is cute to me.Thank God I graduated high school a long time ago.
I went to a flea market on Saturday night and bought Rachel a gift that was a joke just between the two of us. It was funny when she opened it, a lipstick,her face lit up and she laughed so hard. I did too, noone else knew what we were laughing about. It was fun and probably her best gift of all even though I only spent 5 dollars on it.
Her latest thing is she wants to get a tatoo. But, she ran it buy us before she decided to go through with it. Not my son, he didn't say a word and waited for us to notice it ourselves. Rachel brings it up. Course, her father says "NO she isn't getting one." I expressed my honest opinion, I don't like the look of them, especially on woman. I think her biggest concern was for her grandparents, (my mom and dad) Nah... I don't believe it would set all that well with them either, and with my mom being sick, she is concerned about upsetting her. I love that on her too. Makes me so proud. I love that she wants my honest input and accepts it as such without getting angry.
I just think boys are so very different from girls.
