Sweet, Thanks Dot, you know I would love to see what pictures you have if you can find them.I have been looking for pictures of Lola as a puppy so I am hoping you have some of those pictures.
I was slammed in busy at work today. i can finall ysay that the salon is back on track after a rough 5 years. With 4 stylists working now, today we had an equal dollar amount day as I had when I had 10 stylists and what a blessing, the gals that I have now are such less drama than the other drama queens that used to work there. I feel so fortunate, we all fit together perfectly. Of course, one of them is my daughter so that helps a great deal. It took time for me to see it, but, I realize now, it was best for me that the back stabber stylists left. I am so much happier now.
I had the most comical day today. First off, my clients were in rare form this morning, I was laughing so hard I could hardly do their hair. We had a man in the salon that had on a bad wig and make-up and heels. He was with another stylists client. Well, my first clients face was so funny when she saw him, she just woke up and wondered if she was seeing things, she got me started laughing, then, my next client happened to be there when my hubby came in to get my paycheck. I have never seen him turn so many different colors of RED while she went on and on about how "good looking" he is. She asked me if I wanted to trade her husbands. OMG, his face was classic, and better yet, Rachel's face was hysterical. She said, "I have never seen my dad face turn so many shades of red." It was so funny. Then, my next clients started in on the guy in the wig. I honestly thought I would lose it. Understand New Haven is ultra conservative so this man in that get up wasn't going over too well. I didn't get to see my hubby's face, he was in there while this guy was there. But, I am sure he noticed him, I have never seen him run out of the salon so fast. He said, this place is CRAZY!! Ahh just a normal day that most men can't handle. I had an elderly woman coming in who for sure speaks her mind about EVERYTHING next on my schedule, I was worried what she would say to this guy, fortunately, he left before she got there."Thank you God!!"
Anyway, I recieved some wonderful birthday cards from my clients. They are all so special to me and I was glad there were so many laughs today. At one point I was laughing so hard I had tears.So, busy as it was, it was a GREAT day!!
Thanks for my birthday wishes. Can't wait to howl at the moon tonight.
Happy Mothers Day to everyone out there. I told my daughter, one weekend a year I have a special two days. She asked what I want for the two days and I told her a doggie bed for my Chance. Baffles her, she says "that isn't for you, that is for the dogs." Well, that is the same as being for me!!
