I just saw an interview with an Afro American journalist just after reporting the news that Obama was elected as President and he gave such a heartfelt report, I felt touched by his excitement. It is so enlightening to me how so many could find such a light from the position of one man. But, I think it says so much about how this race of people feels they have been discriminated against. The words of his grandfather came back to him, "This country would never have a black President" and how he felt so very proud, the people had conquored that. I was enlightening to me because of his emotion. Now they are condoning him for lack of professionalism for speaking from the heart. Makes me shake my head. Hello, that is what makes reporting effective, when a person can touch the audience.Or, that is my opinion.
I feel a great sigh of relief with this election. My feelings leading up to it were intense, that has calmed down a lot with seeing how many people found "hope" from it.
